Simple Elegance

Tang Horses.   They are usually in either ochre colour or green.  I have to say that I have not often seen them in the black and the patina of these ones is especially beautiful.

Old Japanese cast iron teapots.

Also managed to get a few old Japanese parasols.  There is something about these that is very special.  I think it is the construction in general - simple beauty.

Hand painted Mongolian sideboard.  The painting on this piece and the muted colours are particularly beautiful.  The glass jars on top are vintage Japanese tea jars.  I have them in 2 sizes.

Where Have I Been ?

I've been off sourcing new stock for the store. We have some beautiful new additions ...  more French and Chinese antiques, some very quirky art pieces and finally antique Japanese cabinets and kimono chests we have been longing to have in here.

This piece is truly unique, from France.    I've taken more photos and will be adding them to the blog in the coming week.

Trestle table

Just as soon as our last vintage trestle table came in it went straight out again. Sold. Stuart sourced another one and it is fabulous. Narrower than the last it is perfect as a desk or a hall table. Actually perfect anywhere where space is an issue. It love the patina on this one. Email or drop in if you are interested.

Nothing stays the same

That's the best part. I find the most wonderful pieces from overseas and closer to home, pop them in the shop, merchandise and before we can stand back and admire our work they have walked out the door with their new owner. Thought you'd like to see the changes in store over the past few weeks.

You'll find us at, 17C Ellenborough Street, Ipswich Central.
